Why Store Your Snowmobile?
Your snowmobile is an expensive and fun toy you’ll want to keep in good condition for years to come. So taking the time to store it properly can ensure you have many more winter days together.
Left to the elements, your snowmobile can quickly corrode and degrade. When you go to fire it up next winter, you could encounter:
Seasonal maintenance and a safe, secure storage unit can make a big difference in its performance. Keeping it protected from dirt, moisture, and elements means you’ll ensure your investment has a longer lifespan.

Snowmobile Storage Preparation Tips
Before you store with us, your snowmobile needs a little prep to ensure it’s ready to be tucked away. Follow these tips to ensure it’s ready to go when you pick it up for your next adventure.
Wash it
Salt, dirt, and grime can build up from use or transporting your snowmobile on slushy roads. Before storing, give it a good old-fashioned soap and water bath.
Stabilize the Fuel
When left to sit, gas can degrade and cause corrosion. To keep the gas from wreaking havoc on your engine, add a fuel stabilizer and run the engine for a few minutes.
Fog the Engine
“Fogging” is simply covering mechanical parts with oil to prevent corrosion from moisture. Do this and your snowmobile will be set to sit in storage even if you don’t visit it for a while.
Remove the Battery
Batteries will lose their charge when kept plugged in and in storage. To avoid a dead battery when you pick up your snowmobile next season, remove the battery and take it home with you. Store it in a cool, dry place on a trickle charger.
Cover it
Whether in indoor storage or covered storage, it’s best to put a light cover over your snowmobile to add some extra protection from dirt and dust. Stay away from heavy covers or tarps as they can trap moisture.
